Kingston Hospital is growing fast in a sensitive area in London, the site comprising a range of mainly inefficient buildings from Victorian to a brand new PFI wing. HCS developed this project through free Carbon Trust Studies and a Community Energy Programme (CEP) Development grant.

A CEP 20.5 %, Capital Grant of £ 455 K was obtained towards the cost of a major Energy Systems Infrastructure upgrading project including: new gas main, steam boilers 1.4 MW CHP. absorption cooling, BEMS work and extensive LTHW and CHW distribution systems.
The scheme was delivered through a fully funded Performance Contract with off balance sheet benefits, a healthy grant award and required no NHS Capital input.
